We have already heard about a number of roster moves made by the Detroit Lions on Friday and earlier this week, and the team confirmed them in a press release that was just sent out. The team also announced quite a few signings we hadn't previously heard about, including the move to add defensive tackle Quinn Pitcock, who retired from the Indianapolis Colts in 2008 after one season in the NFL. He unretired last year and is now being given a chance with the Lions.
Here's the full list of signings/re-signings:
- Lions unrestricted free agents: QB Drew Stanton, OG/C Dylan Gandy, S John Wendling, K Dave Rayner
- Other free agents: WR Rashied Davis, DT Quinn Pitcock, LB Justin Durant, CB Maurice Leggett
- Restricted free agents: FB Jerome Felton, DT Andre Fluellen
- Exclusive-rights free agents: WR Stefan Logan, OT Corey Hilliard, LB Ashlee Palmer, LB Korey Bosworth, LB Caleb Campbell, CB Prince Miller, CB Paul Pratt, S Randy Phillips
The Lions also once again confirmed that WR Bryant Johnson and LB Jordon Dizon have been released, and the team said that OT Jeff Backus and CB Alphonso Smith have been placed on the active/non-football injury list.
