NFL's Top 100 Players: Top 10 Announced

The NFL's top 100 players of 2011 series on NFL Network concluded on Sunday night. The top 10 players on the list were announced, giving fans a look at the top guys in the league in the eyes of NFL players. Here's the top 10:

  1. QB Tom Brady (New England Patriots)
  2. QB Peyton Manning (Indianapolis Colts)
  3. RB Adrian Peterson (Minnesota Vikings)
  4. LB Ray Lewis (Baltimore Ravens)
  5. S Ed Reed (Baltimore Ravens)
  6. S Troy Polamalu (Pittsburgh Steelers)
  7. WR Andre Johnson (Houston Texans)
  8. CB Darrelle Revis (New York Jets)
  9. QB Drew Brees (New Orleans Saints)
  10. DE Julius Peppers (Chicago Bears)

The only two Detroit Lions players in the entire top 100 were wide receiver Calvin Johnson and defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh. Johnson was ranked 27th and Suh came in at No. 51. Hopefully next year one or both of them will play so well that they are in the discussion for the top 10.

In the meantime, what do you think of this year's top 10? Which players were ranked too high or too low?
