Nick Barnett Hints He's Joined Detroit Lions

Free agent linebacker Nick Barnett has tweeted a few interesting things in the last hour. First he said that today was going to be a long day, but it "should be fun." Not too long after he said, "Long day just turned into long weekend but very exciting." Barnett followed it up with this tweet, which could indicate he is headed to the Detroit Lions:

In case you're wondering, "what up doe" is considered Detroit slang for "what's up" or "how are you." Lions wide receiver Nate Burleson actually got fined last year for lifting up his jersey to show he was wearing a shirt with "What up doe" written on it. Burleson has been talking to Barnett on Twitter this week, so I'm sure the tweet above is no coincidence.

Obviously this is only speculation right now, but based on connecting the dots of Barnett's tweets, I think he has decided to play for the Lions.

UPDATE: Barnett is reportedly visiting the Lions today. He hasn't joined them just yet, but things could be getting close.
