Even though the preseason is under way and the biggest concern at this point is getting the team ready for the regular season, the front office is continuing to fine tune the roster. Case in point: Detroit signed former Steelers cornerback Anthony Madison today, according to Adam Schefter.
Former Steelers CB Anthony Madison signed a one-year deal today with the Detroit Lions.
Madison entered the league as an undrafted free agent in 2006. He signed with the Steelers and joined the active roster after starting the year on the practice squad. He went on to join the Buccaneers before returning to Pittsburgh for two more seasons. He then played for Cleveland and Indianapolis before joining the Steelers yet again. His last stint with them came in 2010, when he played all 16 games but made only one start.
