The list of inactives for tonight's game between the Detroit Lions and Cleveland Browns is out. The following players are on the list for the Lions: RB Maurice Morris, WR Titus Young, TE Tony Scheffler, OT Jason Fox, OT Jeff Backus, DT Nick Fairley, DT Andre Fluellen, CB Alphonso Smith and CB Chris Houston. Eric Wright, who was a game-time decision, will start at cornerback with Aaron Berry.
Although Young is out, the good news is that he was running routes before the game. Dave Birkett said Young's hamstring was "looking OK," so hopefully he will be able to return to practice soon.
For the Cleveland Browns, two of their running backs are inactive tonight: Peyton Hillis and Montario Hardesty. I was hoping the Lions would get a chance to face Hillis so the run defense could be tested, but that won't be happening.
Below is a look at the Lions' starting lineup for tonight.
OffenseQB Matthew Stafford |
DefenseDE Cliff Avril |
UPDATE: Calvin Johnson has been scratched from the starting lineup. It seems the Lions are taking no chances with his bruised shoulder, so Maurice Stovall Rashied Davis has been inserted into the lineup in his place.
