Former Lion Turk McBride To Start For New Orleans Saints

New, comments

Just how great is the Detroit Lions' depth on the defensive line? Defensive end Turk McBride wasn't retained by the Lions because they have so much depth at the position. He played very well for the Lions in 2010, but Detroit let him walk as a free agent and he signed with the New Orleans Saints.

As Bob McGinn points out, McBride is now a starter at defensive end for the Saints, as he is listed ahead of rookie Cameron Jordan on the Saints depth chart.

#Lions didn't have room for DE Turk McBride and let him go UFA Aug. 1 to Saints. The pesky McBride starts in NO. That's how deep Det. DL is.less than a minute ago via web Favorite Retweet Reply

The Lions will get to go up against McBride and the Saints on Dec. 4 in New Orleans.
