Before the Detroit Lions take on the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, let's do one more approval poll. After taking a look at Jim Schwartz's approval rating last week and Scott Linehan's earlier this week, now it's time to vote on Lions defensive coordinator Gunther Cunningham.
The Lions' defense has been a very inconsistent unit. At times, they play very well or at the very least get away with playing a bend but don't break style. At other times, however, the Lions fail to limit big plays and can't get off the field in key situations. It's been a struggle throughout the first part of the season for the defense to consistently play well.
While the Lions are certainly lacking talent in the secondary, there's a lot of it in the front seven for Cunningham to use to his advantage. Do you think he's doing enough as defensive coordinator? Should he be getting more production out of the defense? Vote in the poll below and leave your thoughts in the comments.
