After a very forgettable Week 6, I rebounded to put together an excellent Week 7 in Pride Of Detroit Pick'em. I had a 10-3 record last week, moving me up to a tie for 14th in POD Pick'em and taking my overall record up to 62-42 on the season.
This week, I'm hoping for another strong performance, especially because I'm picking the Detroit Lions to beat the Seattle Seahawks. I've gone against the Lions the last couple weeks, but I just have a good feeling about Sunday's game. I think that with their backs against the wall and with the game being at Ford Field, the Lions will put together their best performance of the season and get things moving in the right direction. If they don't, then I feel safe in predicting that mock drafts will suddenly become a hot topic of conversation.
Here's a look at all of my Week 8 picks:
Season record: 62-42
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Minnesota Vikings
Carolina Panthers at Chicago Bears
San Diego Chargers at Cleveland Browns
Seattle Seahawks at Detroit Lions
Jacksonville Jaguars at Green Bay Packers
Indianapolis Colts at Tennessee Titans
New England Patriots at St. Louis Rams (in London)
Miami Dolphins at New York Jets
Atlanta Falcons at Philadelphia Eagles
Washington Redskins at Pittsburgh Steelers
Oakland Raiders at Kansas City Chiefs
New York Giants at Dallas Cowboys
New Orleans Saints at Denver Broncos
San Francisco 49ers at Arizona Cardinals
Non-Lions game to watch
The Giants/Cowboys game at 4:25 p.m. ET will have my attention, mainly because there is only one other late afternoon matchup (Raiders at Chiefs). Why has the Sunday afternoon schedule been so unbalanced the last couple weeks?
