One of the funniest parts of Matthew Stafford's Monday Night Football commercial is the airbrushed shirt of himself that he wore during it. He proclaimed it as his "new shirt," and almost immediately people started wondering where they could buy it for themselves.
It took a few weeks to happen, but the Lions started selling Stafford's "new shirt" at Ford Field last Sunday. A few days later, they made the shirt available online as well. You can buy the shirt for $45 on the site of the Lions' official store, and the Lions' Twitter account posted an awesome picture of the offensive line "modeling" it.
Purchase one-of-a-kind @staff_9 @espn shirt to benefit HAVEN! #mynewshirt #Lions o-line models the look. twitter.com/DetroitLionsNF…— Detroit Lions (@DetroitLionsNFL) October 5, 2012
While the price is high, it's for a good cause. All proceeds are going to HAVEN, a charity chosen by Stafford, and he is going to match the donation from the sales.
