I wasn't able to replicate my stellar 10-3 performance from Week 7, but my Week 8 record was a respectable 9-5. I'm now tied for 19th in Pride Of Detroit Pick'em with a record of 71-47 on the season, and a strong week could propel me up into the top 10.
For the Detroit Lions, I didn't have to think too hard about my pick for their game this week. I went with them against the Seattle Seahawks last week, and that pick turned out to be a good one. This week, I would be pretty surprised if they don't beat the Jacksonville Jaguars to get back to .500 on the season. Actually, I will be a bit disappointed if it's not the Lions' first comfortable win of the season. While it is on the road, this is a game the Lions should win with ease.
Here's a look at all of my Week 9 picks:
Season record: 71-47
Kansas City Chiefs at San Diego Chargers
Denver Broncos at Cincinnati Bengals
Baltimore Ravens at Cleveland Browns
Arizona Cardinals at Green Bay Packers
Chicago Bears at Tennessee Titans
Miami Dolphins at Indianapolis Colts
Carolina Panthers at Washington Redskins
Detroit Lions at Jacksonville Jaguars
Buffalo Bills at Houston Texans
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Oakland Raiders
Minnesota Vikings at Seattle Seahawks
Pittsburgh Steelers at New York Giants
Dallas Cowboys at Atlanta Falcons
Philadelphia Eagles at New Orleans Saints
Non-Lions game to watch
The Vikings/Seahawks matchup at 4:05 p.m. ET will be an interesting one to watch, mainly because the Lions take on Minnesota next week. This game could have a big impact on the wild card race later on in the season.
