Lions at Jaguars injury report: Calvin Johnson misses practice again

Calvin Johnson was among the four players who missed practice for the Detroit Lions on Thursday.

Rich Schultz

Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson did not practice again on Thursday, marking the second day in a row that his injured right knee kept him out. Johnson said after practice that he is trying to "be as healthy as possible" for Sunday, which is why he is resting his knee right now. I would expect him to play, but it's clear that his knee is bothering him.

Here's a look at the full injury report for Thursday:

WR Calvin Johnson (Knee) - Didn't practice
WR Titus Young (Knee) - Limited in practice
TE Brandon Pettigrew (Knee) - Limited in practice
DE Cliff Avril (Back) - Didn't practice
DT Corey Williams (Knee) - Limited in practice
LB DeAndre Levy (Hamstring) - Limited in practice
LB Stephen Tulloch (Knee) - Limited in practice
LB Justin Durant (Quad) - Limited in practice
CB Jacob Lacey (Concussion) - Limited in practice
S Louis Delmas (Knee) - Didn't practice
S Amari Spievey (Concussion) - Didn't practice

Thursday's injury report has three fewer players than the one that came out on Wednesday. The reason for this is because Mikel Leshoure and Kyle Vanden Bosch aren't listed anymore. Both were out for non-injury reasons on Wednesday and returned to practice on Thursday. For Leshoure, his personal day turned out to be for the birth of his son, Mikel Leshoure Jr. Also, Bill Bentley isn't listed since he's now on injured reserve and is out for the season.

Here's a look at the Jacksonville Jaguars' Thursday injury report:

QB Blaine Gabbert (Left shoulder) - Fully practiced
RB Maurice Jones-Drew (Foot) - Didn't practice
RB Montell Owens (Shoulder) - Limited in practice
FB Greg Jones (Hip) - Didn't practice
WR Laurent Robinson (Concussion) - Fully practiced
C Brad Meester (Not injury related) - Didn't practice
CB Derek Cox (Back) - Didn't practice
CB Rashean Mathis (Groin) - Didn't practice
S Dwight Lowery (Ankle) - Didn't practice
