The Detroit Lions made a change to their practice squad on Tuesday by making a swap with two familiar faces. Offensive guard Pat Boyle, who has been released and brought back a few times now, was once again released. The Lions let him go to make room for wide receiver Troy Burrell, who was signed.
Burrell returns to the Lions as a member of the practice squad after spending part of the offseason with the team. He was signed as an undrafted free agent out of Wayne State, and the Lions released him in June. Now Burrell is on the practice squad, presumably to give the Lions a bit more practice depth at wide receiver.
Here's an updated look at the Lions' current practice squad:
FB Shaun Chapas

WR Troy Burrell
OG Rodney Austin
DE Kendrick Adams
