As part of its "No Debate" series, this week Gillette wants to know which quarterback fans think is leading the pack this season in the NFL. When I first saw the topic, Tom Brady immediately came to mind as the quarterback I would consider to be leading the pack in the NFL. Now, this may be because I just watched Brady and the New England Patriots destroy the Houston Texans on Monday Night Football, but he came to mind first.
After giving it more thought, I would also include Peyton Manning in the category of quarterbacks leading the pack. Like the Patriots, the Denver Broncos are 10-3, and Manning looks nothing like a guy who missed all of last season because of a neck injury. And when you break down the numbers, they're pretty similar:
Brady: 64.4 completion percentage, 3,833 yards, 29 TD, 4 INT
Manning: 68.3 completion percentage, 3,812 yards, 30 TD, 10 INT
Really, you can't go wrong with either quarterback. For me personally, I'd take Brady, but I'm biased since we both went to Michigan.
Who do you think is leading the pack of NFL quarterbacks this season?
