The Detroit Lions may be at a point in the season where they no longer have a shot at making the playoffs, but there is still plenty to play for. For starters, they need to put an end to their five-game losing streak, and what better time to do it than against a team riding a nine-game losing streak of its own? To put it nicely, the Arizona Cardinals are not a good team, and while the same could be said about the Lions, there are varying degrees of bad. The two teams may share the same record, but the Lions should not lose this game. If they do somehow find a way to lose on Sunday, then the Lions will have hit a new low point for 2012.
