The injury reports for the Detroit Lions and Atlanta Falcons this week seem a bit smaller than usual. For the Lions, this is partly because a few players have been placed on injured reserve recently, meaning they aren't actually on the injury report. For the Falcons, well, perhaps they are just a healthier team.
Wednesday's injury report for the Lions included only two players who missed practice: tight end Brandon Pettigrew and safety Louis Delmas. Pettigrew is still dealing with an ankle injury, while Delmas was out presumably to rest his banged-up knee. Here's a full look at Wednesday's injury report:
RB Mikel Leshoure (Calf) - Limited in practice
WR Calvin Johnson (Knee) - Limited in practice
TE Brandon Pettigrew (Ankle) - Didn't practice
LB DeAndre Levy (Ankle) - Limited in practice
CB Chris Houston (Hamstring) - Fully practiced
S Louis Delmas (Knee) - Didn't practice
S Don Carey (Knee) - Fully practiced
And here's a look at the Falcons' Wednesday injury report:
