From Austin Schindel of @XFINITYSports:
This week's edition of The Extra Point Poll presented by XFINITY is here. The NFL regular season all comes down to Week 17. There are a few playoff spots and positions to be determined, leaving us with an important and interesting final week. Before we delve into this week's poll participants, here are the top Twitter stories leading in to the weekend games.
@RGIII and the @Redskins face off against the #Cowboys for the NFC East title on @SNFonNBC. It's winner takes all.
Green Bay and Minnesota finish the season in division, as the #Vikings look to clinch the playoffs and AP tries to break the rushing record.
The @HoustonTexans need a win to clinch home field & the #1 seed. Andrew Luck, with nothing more to prove, just wants to spoil the party.
In last week's poll, we asked you which running back would have more rushing yards in Week 16, Redskins RB Alfred Morris or Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch. Lynch had the better week on the gridiron, rushing for 111 yards on 26 carries and a touchdown in the Seahawks' big 42-13 win over the 49ers. Morris had a good game as well, but just missed the 100-yard mark, rushing for 91 yards on 22 carries and a touchdown in the Redskins' 27-20 win over the Eagles.
In this week's edition of The Extra Point Poll presented by XFINITY, we take a look at two quarterbacks who will always be connected to one another: Broncos QB Peyton Manning and Colts QB Andrew Luck. Manning will face off against a Kansas City Chiefs defense that ranks 23rd in fantasy points against opposing quarterbacks. Luck, who replaced Manning in Indianapolis this season, is home to face a Houston Texans defense that ranks 19th in fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks. Both the Broncos and Colts have clinched playoff berths, but the Broncos are playing for home-field advantage throughout the playoffs and could use the Colts' assistance in defeating the Texans on Sunday.
Which quarterback will pass for more yards in Week 17: Andrew Luck or Peyton Manning?
Thank you for participating in The Extra Point Poll throughout the season. Remember to check back next week where we identify the overall winning community and determine who will have bragging rights all offseason long!
Good Luck!
