- With defensive tackle Sammie Hill ruled out for Sunday's game, the Detroit Lions placed him on injured reserve on Saturday. Defensive tackle Jimmy Saddler-McQueen was signed from the practice squad to take Hill's spot on the roster.
- On Friday, Jim Schwartz said the report about there being tension between him and Martin Mayhew "couldn't be farther from the truth."
- Linebacker Stephen Tulloch thinks the off-field issues the Lions dealt with last offseason "wound up lingering into the season" and became a distraction. All I can say is that players better stay out of trouble this upcoming offseason.

- Linebacker Justin Durant would also like to return to the Lions, but he admitted that he's prepared to look elsewhere if they don't plan on bringing him back.
- LeBron James is a fan of Calvin Johnson.
