Toward the end of last season, the Detroit Lions really struggled against the pass. A big reason behind those struggles was the loss of injured players in the final part of the season. Guys like Chris Houston and Louis Delmas were banged up, and the Lions' secondary really struggled without them.
The good news is that Delmas, who is unfortunately no stranger to injuries, is currently 100 percent healthy. He shared this news at the 97.1 SportsFest on Saturday. He also shared some interesting news about free-agent-to-be linebacker Stephen Tulloch.
"Me and Tulloch have been pushing each other tremendously," Delmas said. "He's a hard worker and has big goals set out for us next year. We plan for big things next year."
Considering Tulloch has not yet been re-signed, I like the fact that he is still thinking about being with the Lions next season. He had a very good year at middle linebacker, and it'd be a shame if the Lions don't end up bringing him back. Like with many players, it'll really come down to the cap situation and if there is room to re-sign him.
