Nike released a new commercial for its Nike+ FuelBand product last week. The commercial focuses on tracking a day in the life of three athletes: Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, soccer goalie Hope Solo and skateboarder Paul Rodriguez.
In the commercial, Suh can be seen getting his day started with some running, playing goalie on penalty kicks from who I believe was his sister, lifting some weights and shooting some hoops. In the basketball portion of the video, Suh dunked the ball and drained a half-court shot, showing just how athletic he really is for a defensive tackle. Take a look:
I enjoyed the video, but mainly because of the parts featuring Solo. I suppose it is also cool that a Lions player is featured in a video with some of the biggest names in other sports -- women's soccer and skateboarding. I know many have viewed what happened in 2011 as damaging to Suh's image, but he appears to be doing just fine.
