List Of Detroit Lions' 2012 Free Agents Released

New, comments

Although we have already covered which players from the Detroit Lions are set to become free agents this offseason, we didn't have an official list at the time. Thanks to the NFLPA, that is no longer the case. The NFL Players Association released a list of free agents earlier this week, and there are 25 players on it for the Lions. Via Anwar Richardson, here's the rundown:

Unrestricted Free Agents

QB Shaun Hill, QB Drew Stanton, RB Kevin Smith, RB Maurice Morris, RB Jerome Harrison, WR Rashied Davis, WR Maurice Stovall, OT Jeff Backus, OG Leonard Davis, DE Cliff Avril, DT Andre Fluellen, LB Stephen Tulloch, LB Bobby Carpenter, LB Isaiah Ekejiuba, CB Eric Wright, CB Brandon McDonald, S Erik Coleman, S Chris Harris, P Ben Graham, LS Don Muhlbach

Restricted Free Agents

OT Corey Hilliard, DT Sammie Hill, LB DeAndre Levy, LB Ashlee Palmer

Exclusive-Rights Free Agents

LB Cody Brown

The two differences from previous lists of free agents for the Lions are that Stefan Logan is not on this one and Cody Brown is. Originally it was thought that Logan was set to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason, but he is actually still under contract for another year. As for Brown, the Lions claimed him off waivers last August, but he never reported to camp. As a result, the Lions still control his rights.
