2012 NFL Draft Order Almost Finalized For First Round

With the Super Bowl in the books, the 2011 NFL season is officially over. This means all focus can be turned to the 2012 offseason, which will feature the combine later this month, free agency in March and the 2012 NFL Draft in April.

The full 2012 NFL Draft order won't be released until a later date, but we do currently know what the basic order looks like for the first round. Coin flips at the combine are still necessary to break a couple ties, but the rest of the order was set once Tom Brady's desperation Hail Mary hit the turf in Indianapolis. The Patriots will pick 31st and the Giants, because they won the Super Bowl, will close out the first round.

As previously reported, the Lions hold the 23rd pick in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft. The full order can be found after the jump.
