Geoff Schwartz Has 'Great' Visit With Lions

Offensive lineman Geoff Schwartz flew into Detroit on Thursday night and had his visit with the Lions on Friday. He did not leave with a contract, and it appears he is going to take the rest of his scheduled visits. It was previously reported that he has visits lined up with the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers, and Aaron Wilson is reporting that Schwartz will visit the Minnesota Vikings on Monday.

Although his Lions visit did not result in a signing, Schwartz had a good time meeting with the team.

Schwartz also tweeted that he was previously medically cleared by the Carolina Panthers and also received clearance by the Lions during his visit. He missed all of 2011 with a hip injury, so the fact that he is now healthy is good news for him as he tries to find a new team.
