The Detroit Lions hosted two prospects for pre-2012 NFL Draft visits on Tuesday. One of the players in town was Alabama cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick. We found out on Monday that Kirkpatrick was in Detroit for his visit. The other player the Lions brought in was offensive lineman Amini Silatolu, who went to Midwestern State, a Division II school.
Kirkpatrick had this to say about the possibility of playing for the Lions and getting to be on the same defense as defensive tackles Ndamukong Suh and Nick Fairley:
"I’d fit in great" as a Lion, Kirkpatrick said today. "I’d be hugging big (Ndamukong) Suh and Nick (Fairley) every day, because those are the guys that are going to put the pressure and make me look good as I am and make life easy. It’ll be easy to roll the dice."
With Kirkpatrick and Silatolu visiting, the Lions have now hosted seven prospects in the last week. The five who previously came to town for a visit are Miami OL Brandon Brooks, Ohio State OT Mike Adams, Iowa State OT Kelechi Osemele, Coastal Carolina CB Josh Norman and TCU DE Braylon Broughton.
