It appears Stefan Logan's job as the Detroit Lions' kick returner is safe. The Lions had been looking at potentially adding Ted Ginn Jr. as their fourth receiver and returner, but he has decided to re-sign with the San Francisco 49ers, according to a press release from the team.
"We are glad that Ted has decided to return to the 49ers in 2012," said 49ers General Manager Trent Baalke. "He is a versatile player and an excellent teammate that will continue to play an important role for us on both offense and special teams."
Ginn's deal is for one year and comes after he visited the Lions, Baltimore Ravens and Minnesota Vikings. Following his visit with the Lions, Ginn said that he enjoyed himself, but he wasn't ready to commit to signing with them. After evaluating his options, he decided to return to San Francisco for at least one more season.
