It's fitting that we just examined Janoris Jenkins' character concerns a couple days ago, because SB Nation's latest 2012 NFL mock draft has the Detroit Lions selecting him. He has been a popular pick for the Lions in mock drafts for a while, and I could certainly see them selecting him if he's available when they go on the clock.
Here's SB Nation's reasoning for the pick:
Detroit is unlikely to spend big in free agency since they lack cap space. That means they will have to address the cornerback position in the draft. Jenkins raised red flags at the Combine with startling revelations about his personal life. His stance on birth control aside, Jenkins has the makings of a really good corner.
I wouldn't be surprised if Jenkins' character concerns have already scared some teams off from drafting him. Martin Mayhew made it clear that he isn't going to pre-judge any potential pick, so expect Jenkins to be hosted for a visit so the Lions can take a closer look at him before the draft rolls around.
