With the 2012 NFL Draft just one week away, the Detroit Lions appear to be just about ready to finalize their big board. The homestretch for scouting players has arrived, and this has been an especially busy week with the local workout taking place on Wednesday and several players coming in for visits.

On Wednesday alone, the Lions hosted five players for pre-draft visits. Here's the list of the players who came to town:

  • RB Bryce Brown (Kansas State)
  • RB Lamar Miller (Miami Florida)
  • WR A.J. Jenkins (Illinois)
  • WR Rishard Matthews (Nevada)
  • DE Vinny Curry (Marshall)

With these five players added to the list, the Lions have now hosted a total of four running backs, three wide receivers and six defensive ends for pre-draft visits. Overall, a total of 26 visits have taken place that we know about. (The Lions can bring in a maximum of 30 players for pre-draft visits.)
