If the Detroit Lions are hoping to bring in special teams help, their best bet may be to re-sign linebacker Isaiah Ekejiuba. I say this because linebacker Tim Shaw, who is a very good special teams player, is no longer a free agent. He has re-signed with the Tennessee Titans.
The #Titans have announced they have re-signed LB Tim Shaw to a multi-year contract. Shaw was team's special teams captain in 2011.

Shaw, who is from Livonia, visited the Lions a couple weeks ago. It reportedly went well, and there was talk that a deal might get done, but nothing obviously happened. He ultimately left town without a deal and is now set to return to the Titans.
Ekejiuba had drawn some interest from the Baltimore Ravens, but they decided to sign special teamer Corey Graham, who had also visited the Lions. Ekejiuba remains a free agent, so it's possible he could be brought back by the Lions.
