Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson stopped by ESPN's headquarters in Bristol, Connecticut, earlier this week to go through what is known as the ESPN "Car Wash." Essentially, he spent time on several of ESPN's shows both for television and radio, getting interviewed as part of promoting the Madden 13 cover contest. (Johnson is in the finals against Cam Newton.)
While on the set of ESPN's SportsNation, Johnson didn't just get interviewed. He also took part in an attempt to set a record for catching and not letting go the most footballs at once. The record was apparently 12, and Johnson broke it by managing to hang on to 16 footballs at the same time. You can check out video of this after the jump.
