2012 NFL Draft Results: First Round Is In The Books

Calvin Johnson announced the Lions' first-round pick on Thursday night.

Day one of the 2012 NFL Draft is over. I'm still trying to catch my breath with all of the trades that happened in the first round. There was a lot of action, and considering the first round was completed in only three hours, it was tough to keep track of everything going on.

The Detroit Lions head into day two of the draft with their need for an offensive tackle filled by the Riley Reiff pick. Now, the thinking is their focus will turn to positions like cornerback, defensive end and perhaps even running back for the second and third rounds. There is still a ton of talent out there, and we might even see the Lions move up much like last year if a player they like starts falling on day two.

After the jump you can find the picks from the first round (via Mocking The Draft), and if you're interested in seeing who is on the board still for Friday, check out MTD's post on the best players currently available.
