Lions Undrafted Free Agents: Detroit Adds TE Austin Wells, OL Pat Boyle

There are two more players to add to the list of the Detroit Lions' undrafted free agent signings: Northern Iowa tight end Austin Wells and Temple offensive lineman Pat Boyle (via Anwar Richardson).

News of Wells' deal with the Lions was announced by the Northern Iowa athletic department. He is one of three players from the school headed to the NFL. Here's more info on him:

Wells played in all 13 games for the Panthers in 2011 after transferring from Nebraska-Omaha. He caught eight passes for 63 yards on the season.

The Philadelphia Inquirer first reported the news of Boyle joining the Lions. He started all 13 games at left tackle for Temple in 2011. A year earlier, he made six starts, one of which came at right guard and five of which were at left guard. It appears he's pretty versatile in terms of where he can play on the O-line, and that will definitely help his chances of sticking with the Lions.
