With the 15th pick of Pride of Detroit's 2012 NFL mock draft, the Philadelphia Eagles select LSU defensive tackle Michael Brockers. N4ry4 is serving as the Eagles' general manager, and his reasoning for the pick is below.

Cullen Jenkins has been a good starter for the Eagles this past year, but he is 31 and Philly needs to add some youth to its interior D-line. Michael Brockers could rotate in right away and should be a very strong starter in the future.

Brockers offers huge upside as an interior force, especially against the run, and should also threaten the pocket against the pass. Brockers has a very impressive size/speed combination, as he stands 6'6" and weighs 322 pounds, with 35-inch arms, but ran the 40-yard dash in less than five seconds at his pro day. He is a little raw, starting only one full year, but with the right development and coaching, which I think the Eagles can offer, he has a very high ceiling.

If he reaches his full potential, Michael Brockers will be difficult for just one offensive lineman to handle, as he should demand multiple blockers often, freeing up the linebackers to make plays and helping to improve the Eagles' run defense.
