Lions Draft Picks 2012: Jersey Numbers Announced

The Detroit Lions' 2012 class of NFL Draft picks has officially been assigned numbers. Shortly after the first-round pick was made, we found out offensive tackle Riley Reiff chose to wear No. 71, and apparently a "good amount" of his jerseys have already been sold. Now, thanks to the following tweet from Tim Twentyman, we know what numbers the rest of the draft class will be wearing.

Broyles is wearing Brandon Pettigrew's old number. When Pettigrew originally joined the Lions, he was No. 84, but he switched to No. 87. Also worth mentioning is that Bill Bentley is wearing Maurice Morris' old number. Morris is a free agent and hasn't been re-signed, and considering his number has been given out, I'd say it's highly unlikely right now that plans call for Morris to return.
