- The Detroit Lions held practice on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning as part of their rookie minicamp. There will be one more practice on Sunday before the minicamp breaks.
- The Lions' official site has video of Bill Bentley, Riley Reiff, Chris Greenwood and Kellen Moore talking about their first practice with the team.
- Greenwood picked off Moore on Saturday with a diving interception.
- Reiff was asked about his contract situation and said that the sooner a deal gets done, the better.
- Jim Schwartz didn't have much to say about what he took from Reiff's first practice, mainly because you can't learn a whole lot from offensive linemen not practicing in pads.
- Ronnell Lewis continues to remind me of Zack Follett.
- Travis Lewis was interviewed about his experience so far at the rookie minicamp.
- Troy Woolfolk is with the Lions this weekend on a tryout after being signed by the Dallas Cowboys after the draft and released after the team's rookie minicamp.
- Wayne State linebacker Raleigh Ross was at Saturday's minicamp as a tryout player to replace linebacker Aaron Oliver, who was carted off on Friday.
- MLive has photos from both Friday and Saturday.
