Last month, after the 2012 NFL schedule was announced, point spreads were released for the games in Week 1. Now, thanks to the folks at Cantor Gaming, we have point spreads for the first 16 weeks of the 2012 season. Is this a bit premature? There's no doubt considering a lot will change by the time these games are actually played. Even so, it's interesting to see how the Detroit Lions are expected to do in 2012 on a game-by-game basis. Here's the breakdown:
St. Louis Rams at Detroit Lions -9.5
Detroit Lions at San Francisco 49ers -3.5
Detroit Lions -1 at Tennessee Titans
Minnesota Vikings at Detroit Lions -9
Detroit Lions at Philadelphia Eagles -4.5
Detroit Lions at Chicago Bears -2.5
Seattle Seahawks at Detroit Lions -6.5
Detroit Lions -4.5 at Jacksonville Jaguars
Detroit Lions -3.5 at Minnesota Vikings
Green Bay Packers -3 at Detroit Lions
Houston Texans at Detroit Lions -2.5
Indianapolis Colts at Detroit Lions -9.5
Detroit Lions at Green Bay Packers -7.5
Detroit Lions -1.5 at Arizona Cardinals
Atlanta Falcons at Detroit Lions -4
Of the 15 games listed, the Lions are favored in 10 of them. They are the underdog in games against the 49ers, Eagles, Bears and Packers (twice), and there is no spread listed for their game in Week 17 against the Bears.
