TE Alex Gottlieb (William & Mary) - Undrafted Free Agent
Following the draft, the Detroit Lions signed two undrafted free agents who play tight end. One of the players who signed was William & Mary's Alex Gottlieb, who got a deal done the night the draft came to a close.
Experts' Opinions
Positives: Hardworking tight end who gets the most from his ability. Strong at the point, gets movement run blocking and anchors in pass protection. Extends his hands to make the reception away from his frame and possesses both soft and strong hands. Solid short-range target.
Negatives: Possesses marginal quickness, explosion and speed. Not a downfield threat. Limited athlete.

Outlook for 2012
With Brandon Pettigrew, Tony Scheffler and Will Heller all returning, it will be tough for any of the other tight ends on the team to make the 53-man roster. It'll especially be tough for the two UDFA tight ends to make the team given that the Lions also have Nathan Overbay, who spent time on the practice squad last year.
More scouting reports: Riley Reiff, Ryan Broyles, Dwight "Bill" Bentley, Ronnell Lewis, Tahir Whitehead, Chris Greenwood, Jonte Green, Travis Lewis, Kellen Moore, Stephfon Green, Troy Burrell, Patrick Edwards, Jared Karstetter, Wallace Miles
