OT Quinn Barham (Penn State) - Undrafted Free Agent

The Detroit Lions signed a total of four undrafted free agent offensive linemen this year. The only offensive tackle in the group is Quinn Barham; the other three players are guards. Barham hails from Penn State and is one of two UDFAs from the school to sign with the Lions (Stephfon Green is the other).

Experts' Opinions

SI.com:

Positives: Undersized college left tackle who projects to guard in a zone blocking system. Moves well on his feet, fluid if asked to pull across the line of scrimmage and displays skill blocking in motion. Quickly sets up in pass protection, sets with a wide base and bends his knees. Keeps his feet moving, slides well laterally and does a terrific job protecting the quarterback. .

Negatives: Marginal run blocker who rarely gets movement. Struggles to stays square and gets turned by defenders. Lacks dominant lower body strength.

Outlook for 2012

There is quite a logjam of talent at offensive tackle right now. You have Jeff Backus and Gosder Cherilus, the returning starters, and then draft pick Riley Reiff. You also have Jason Fox and Corey Hilliard, who are key backups, as well as Johnny Culbreath, who was picked in last year's draft. Considering Culbreath really is going to struggle to make this team, it'd be surprising if Barham was able to. You never say never, obviously, but Barham's best hopes are probably of landing on the practice squad.

More scouting reports: Riley Reiff, Ryan Broyles, Dwight "Bill" Bentley, Ronnell Lewis, Tahir Whitehead, Chris Greenwood, Jonte Green, Travis Lewis, Kellen Moore, Stephfon Green, Troy Burrell, Patrick Edwards, Jared Karstetter, Wallace Miles, Alex Gottlieb, Austin Wells
