- Junior Seau was found dead on Wednesday. He is believed to have committed suicide.
- On Wednesday, the Buccaneers signed former Rutgers player Eric LeGrand, who is paralyzed due to an injury he suffered during a game in October 2010. His former coach at Rutgers, Greg Schiano, is the current coach of the Buccaneers.
- The Bears have already agreed to a deal with draft pick Alshon Jeffery.
- Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs has a partial Achilles tear. While initial reports suggested he was out for the season, Suggs hopes to return mid-season.
