- Detroit Lions wide receivers coach Shawn Jefferson was teammates with Junior Seau, who committed suicide earlier this week, from 1991-95. Jefferson talked about his memories of Seau in an interview with the Lions' official site.
- Lions offensive tackle Jeff Backus is on schedule in his rehab from bicep surgery. Backus admitted that he isn't doing "some of the things the younger guys are doing," but he feels "great right now."
