Ryan Grant Mystery Continues

Where in the world is free-agent running back Ryan Grant? It's not clear right now specifically where Grant is, but the consensus is that he was not in Allen Park on Monday to visit with the Detroit Lions. His agent said last week that Grant was scheduled to visit the Lions on Monday, but Anwar Richardson is reporting that it did not happen.

After reports surfaced last week that Grant would visit the Lions' facility in Allen Park on Monday, he never showed up. It is unclear if Grant met Detroit's coaching staff on Sunday instead of Monday or if the trip was canceled.

Chris McCosky is reporting something similar about the situation and said that if the visit did happen, it either took place on Sunday night or was held somewhere other than the Lions' team facility on Monday.

If the visit indeed never happened, it's unclear why. Did the Lions suddenly lose interest in him? Did Grant garner enough interest in another team that visiting the Lions wasn't necessary? Was it simply rescheduled? Or was this just one big negotiating ploy by Grant's agent to get a decision from the Green Bay Packers about re-signing his client? Your guess is as good as mine at this point.
