Five Lions Miss Tuesday's Practice

As mentioned earlier, offensive tackle Jason Fox wasn't the only player missing from Tuesday's practice. The first day of the Detroit Lions' mandatory minicamp had five players missing.

The five players were out on Tuesday because of injuries. In addition to Fox, defensive tackle Sammie Hill, linebacker Stephen Tulloch, cornerback Chris Greenwood and safety Louis Delmas were out on Tuesday. Tulloch is still dealing with knee tendinitis and Delmas is recovering from a sprained ankle. It's not clear what injuries Hill and Greenwood are dealing with.

Defensive end Cliff Avril also missed Tuesday's practice. He is planning to miss the entire mandatory minicamp. Because he hasn't yet signed his franchise tender, Avril isn't required to show up, so there won't be any fines or anything like that for him not being there.

The Lions will continue the minicamp with another practice on Wednesday and then wrap things up on Thursday.
