Top 10 Lions Of 2012: Let The Voting Begin

NFL Network's series on the top 100 players of 2012 is set to come to a close on Wednesday night. Calvin Johnson will be revealed as a member of the top 10, giving the Detroit Lions three total players in the top 100 (Matthew Stafford and Ndamukong Suh are the others).

Earlier this month, atvman put up a FanPost inspired by NFL Network's series and ranked his top 10 Lions. Inspired by both the FanPost and the NFL Network series, I decided to combine the two so we can establish a list of the top 10 Lions of 2012, as voted on by readers of Pride of Detroit.

What exactly are the criteria for voting? It's really up to you. You can vote based on what players have done in the past, or you can decide to vote based on how you think players will perform in 2012. You can also use a combination of those and other factors when you vote, of course.

To make the voting as easy as possible, there is a form for you to fill out after the jump. All you have to do is put in your top 10 and hit submit. In a week or so, I will tabulate the votes by giving out 10 points to a player each time he is ranked first, nine points each time he is ranked second and so on. All of the points will be added up and a top 10 will be established based on your votes. Then, over the course of the next couple weeks, the top 10 will be unveiled and debated with a separate post dedicated to each spot on the list.

UPDATE: Voting has closed.
