With the news of Jim Schwartz's contract extension breaking late on Friday afternoon (right before a holiday weekend, no less), there hasn't been a whole lot of fanfare surrounding it. No news conference was called, and with the players not around, there is no opportunity for them to be asked about the extension. Personally, I think this is all by design considering how much Schwartz didn't want to talk about his contract, but that's an entirely different story.
Although the Lions are on a break before training camp right now, two players did chime in on Twitter last night to give their take on the news.
Just heard the news about coach Schwartz extension. Couldn't be happier to know he's on board with the @DetroitLionsNFL for years to come.

RT @TylerOrzech @cliffavril Hey cliff, excited to see coach schwartz get an extension?➠ yea great coach deserves it

Stephen Tulloch played for Schwartz back in Tennessee and followed him to Detroit last summer, so it's no surprise he is happy to see Schwartz stick around. It's also no surprise that Cliff Avril is happy, as he has developed into a big-time player under Schwartz's watch.
