Perhaps the Dallas Cowboys are telling the truth when they say they have no interest in trading cornerback Mike Jenkins. While the belief all offseason has been that the Cowboys will ultimately ship him out sometime this offseason, so far nothing has happened. In fact, nothing has happened despite the fact that several teams have expressed interest in him, including the Detroit Lions.
It's not new information that the Lions were reportedly interested in dealing for Jenkins, but this tidbit from Len Pasquarelli is:
At least two teams, in addition to the trade inquiries made by Indianapolis and Detroit, have made overtures about Jenkins since the draft, and been rebuffed. The Dallas source even discounted reports that Jenkins will be dealt much closer to the openings of training camps.
A total of four teams have expressed interest in acquiring Jenkins, but right now the Cowboys aren't budging from their stance of not trading him.
