Expect to see a bit more creativity from the Detroit Lions defensive line in 2012. Gunther Cunningham said earlier this offseason that he plans to move defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh "all over the place." What's more, the Lions used a look during their minicamp where they had four defensive tackles lined up on the D-line. It consisted of Suh, Corey Williams, Sammie Hill and Nick Fairley, and it sounded like a very unique formation.
A big reason why the Lions may get creative in 2012 with their D-line is because they have the ability to do so. Suh showed his versatility off in 2010, and he said during an interview this week that the D-Line as a whole is quite versatile. Via MLive:
"That's the great thing about our defensive line is that everyone is interchangeable," Suh said. "I can play left end, I can play right end, I can play left tackle, I can play right tackle. Corey Williams can do everything across the gamut. Lawrence Jackson is the same way. Kyle Vanden Bosch is the same way."
I really hope the Lions break out the all-DT D-line at some point in the 2012 season.
