On the eve of training camp, a little more drama has been introduced to the Detroit Lions. This time, a player hasn't been arrested, but instead defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh has been sued. According to Dave Birkett, the lawsuit is over the car accident Suh was involved in last December in Portland.
Ndamukong Suh has been sued for more than $1 million in Oregon court for the downtown Portland accident he was in last December.

The complaint accuses Suh of negligence, reckless driving and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

This lawsuit doesn't really come as much of a surprise given what happened after the accident. His account of what happened was disputed by two women who were in the car at the time of the accident. Now, Suh is being sued over the crash.
I may be jumping to conclusions, but I personally think this whole thing is pretty ridiculous. This seems like yet another case of somebody going after a person with money with a ridiculous lawsuit. I'm no lawyer, but suing Suh for more than $1 million because he crashed the car you were in? Really? Give me a break.
UPDATE: The Free Press' story on the lawsuit is now up, and it does not sound promising for Suh. He allegedly showed up uninvited to the house of the woman now suing him the day after the accident and offered her $700 "in an effort to buy her silence." Yeah, that wasn't smart.
