Detroit Lions running back Mikel Leshoure left practice early today after suffering an injury. The good news is he didn't reinjure his Achilles or anything like that. Rather, he tweaked his hamstring.
Lions head coach Jim Schwartz wasn't sure if Leshoure's injury would be a long-term thing or not, but Leshoure was pretty confident that he was okay when asked after practice.
#Lions: Hamstring kept Mikel Leshoure out of end of camp; He said, 'I'll be good, I'm fine, I'm straight.'

With Jahvid Best on the PUP list right now, Leshoure is getting a lot of chances to prove himself to the coaches. Of course, he is battling back from the Achilles injury he suffered last year, so it's important to take things slowly, especially with him tweaking his hamstring today. The last thing the Lions need is another running back missing time because of an injury, so hopefully this will be a day-to-day rather than week-to-week type of injury.
