The Detroit Lions' list of injured players is starting to grow. This is no surprise considering it happens every training camp, as players just start to get banged up as the number of practices increases over time.
Today, the Lions were without several players. Running back Mikel Leshoure, offensive tackle Jeff Backus and safety Erik Coleman, who have been injured since the weekend, were all out again. Joining them on the sidelines today was cornerback Jacob Lacey, who banged knees with a teammate on Monday.
Safety Louis Delmas was back at practice after getting a day of rest on Monday, but he only participated on a limited basis. According to Jim Schwartz, this is by design in order to make sure Delmas stays healthy. He had an ice wrap on his left knee, which explains why the Lions are being extra cautious with him.
The Lions were also without Jahvid Best and Chris Greenwood, who are still both on the PUP list.
