The Detroit Lions have announced that the following players will not play on Thursday night against the Buffalo Bills: running back Kevin Smith, running back Stefan Logan, wide receiver Titus Young, defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch, defensive tackle Corey Williams, linebacker Stephen Tulloch, linebacker Travis Lewis, cornerback Chris Houston, cornerback Bill Bentley and safety Louis Delmas.
Here's a look at the starting lineup for the Lions:
OffenseQB Matthew Stafford |
DefenseDE Willie Young |
There are a few things of note from the starting lineup. For starters, Matthew Stafford is going to play. He probably isn't going to see more than a series in this game, but he is going to start at quarterback. Also starting on offense is Mikel Leshoure in place of Kevin Smith.
On defense, Nick Fairley is stepping in for Corey Williams at defensive tackle, Ashlee Palmer is replacing Stephen Tulloch at middle linebacker and Justin Miller and Jacob Lacey are starting at cornerback. This is a very good sign for Miller's chances of making the 53-man roster.
