The Detroit Lions made a minor change to their roster on Saturday morning. They waived-injured linebacker Ronnie Sneed, opening up room on the roster to sign linebacker Korey Bosworth.
If Bosworth's name sounds familiar, it's because it should. He is a nephew of Brian Bosworth, and he has played for the Lions before. He signed with the team as a defensive end back in 2010 and spent that season on injured reserve after breaking his leg. He was released by the Lions last August, and now he is back as a linebacker.
Sneed joined the Lions this offseason after signing as an undrafted free agent. He had missed the last couple days with an injury, and the Lions decided to go in another direction by waiving him with the injured designation. What this means is Sneed and the Lions may agree on an injury settlement and he may become a free agent, or he could revert to the Lions' injured reserve list if nobody picks him up.
