Lions Notes: Jonathan Scott Takes Visit With Bears

  • How did quarterback Kellen Moore find out that he made the initial 53-man roster? He got texts informing him that he made the team when he was on the sideline of Boise State's game at Michigan State, according to Chadd Cripe.
  • According to Aaron Wilson, offensive tackle Jonathan Scott has visited the Chicago Bears. Scott was released by the Lions this week after being placed on injured reserve, as there just wasn't room for any more OTs on the 53-man roster. He is now a free agent, hence the visit to Chicago.
  • The Lions announced on Saturday that tight end Austin Wells and safety Reshard Langford were waived/injured rather than simply released during the final round of NFL roster cuts on Friday. What this means is that they will likely get an injury settlement before ultimately becoming free agents.
  • SB Nation has put together a video preview of the NFC North for the 2012 season. You can check it out below.
